Overview
Position Summary... What you ll do. Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates). Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, and ensuring associates complete required training to achieve facility goals.
Responsibilities- Manage daily administrative functions of the HR office (e.g., benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, payroll) by executing and refining recruiting and staffing initiatives and researching and addressing employment-related concerns for applicants, associates, and managers.
- Ensure compliance with company HR policies by reviewing and managing the accuracy, confidentiality, and maintenance of HR documents; assist in the implementation of and ensuring compliance with HR systems/applications; research to gather data for HR-related issues.
- Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures; monitor compliance; distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation.
- Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others when needed to determine corrective action or recommendations to resolve.
- Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching, supporting, modeling policies, identifying training needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
- Manage and coordinate training (e.g., new hire orientation, CBL modules, web-based training, virtual classroom) for Distribution and/or Transportation associates by identifying development needs, monitoring completion, presenting and facilitating courses, and tracking schedules and compliance.
- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, communicating goals, and measuring progress toward results; identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous learning.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing contributions, and promoting belonging in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company mission, values, and ethics by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in daily processes.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace: build high-performing teams, embrace differences, and create a culture of belonging where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
- Serve customers and members by delivering results with a customer-first mindset and applying the company s business models in planning.
