Step into a day that moves product quality forward

You start your shift on the production floor, scanning dashboards and control charts to spot trends before they become issues. A process audit leads to a quick huddle where you walk the team through a 5-Why. Later, you verify CTQs, update line metrics, and coach associates on error-proofing. In the afternoon, you dig into supplier data, escalate a corrective action, and document findings from a plant trial—closing the loop with a clear, data-backed report.

Safety is woven through it all, as you model OSHA-aligned practices and help cultivate a culture where quality and safety go hand-in-hand.

The impact you’ll make Provide hands-on quality support in a multi-shift, high-volume environment; build a customer-first quality mindset using data capture, process monitoring, root cause analysis, and corrective action.

Champion a strong safety culture and support training and policy adherence aligned to OSHA to prevent workplace injuries.

Execute quality management system audits along with process and product audits.

Lead structured RCAs and drive corrective actions to closure.

Maintain line-level quality dashboards/metrics and engage in regular quality reviews.

Oversee and verify CTQs, SPC, and error-proofing controls across operations.

Collect, analyze, and communicate quality data; participate in cross-functional improvement projects.

Train plant associates on QMS and TQM concepts and best practices.

Identify, report, and escalate supplier quality issues; manage supplier RCAs and follow-up actions.

Participate in plant trials, produce concise reports, and recommend improvement ideas.

Advance site-wide continuous improvement to raise customer quality performance.

Support SSB corporate quality initiatives and standards.

How you’ll deliver

Process control methods: SPC, error-proofing, monitoring, and process improvement.

Use of measuring tools: calipers, tape measure, and carpenter’s square.

Auditing skills from execution to reporting and corrective action tracking.

A results-driven mindset with strong urgency.

Root cause methodologies: 5-Why, fishbone, A3, and QPS.Focus on supplier quality, internal quality KPIs, and employee quality training.

What you bring

Required

High school diploma or GED1–3 years in manufacturing2–3 years in a quality role Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Ability  to read, write, and speak English Age 18 or older

Preferred

Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or related field

Lean training/certification

Certified Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt (or willingness to pursue)

Calipers and Micrometers Quality Control Software Rewards Compensation : $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Pay will be determined based on experience, education, and certifications.
