Quality Coordinator - Crew 1 Warehouse
Deceuninck North America is seeking a Quality Coordinator for its Monroe, OH facility. In this role, the Quality Coordinator responsibilities include inspecting materials, processes, and products, ensuring compliance with new and existing quality standards and regulations, implementing quality management actions, and contributing to the development of company policies and procedures. The Quality Coordinator provides guidance to Quality Auditors in the absence of the Quality Supervisors.
Core Responsibilities
- Performs inspections on product and equipment to insure conformance to specifications during design, process and calibration phases.
- Follows procedures for test methods and test equipment.
- Read and understand blueprints (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) so that design intent can be distinguished.
- Communicates with managers, production supervisors, production leads and operators in an effort to assure product quality.
- Perform first article inspections, including but not limited to color checks, impact, heat/shrink tests, visual inspections and gage measurements.
- Performs quality checks on all engineering prints and recommends needed changes.
- Administer calibration program for all assigned measurement equipment including instruments used to measure or control a process.
- Administer quality control program on incoming and outgoing goods. Communicate inspection results to affected supplier/vendor and/or customer.
- Train new quality auditors.
- Charpy testing ability to perform test and send out reports.
- Knowledge of window systems components.
- Review and understand Brabender test results.
- Properly tagging carts for hold/scrap.
Qualifications
- Currently a Quality Auditor and in role for more than 1 year.
- Good Attendance / not under any disciplinary restrictions
- Must be able to use calipers, optical comparator and tape measure.
- Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel (basic data entry into spreadsheets)
- Able to read blueprints and basic knowledge of GD&T.
- One to two years related experience and/or training in quality related field.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
