Compensation: This position pays up to $32.40 / hr. and includes paid health insurance (at no cost to you) and paid pension and annuity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Repair and install network‑enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.
- Assist in keeping building common and technology spaces neat, orderly, and safe.
- Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.
- Update as‑built drawings as necessary according to department policies.
- Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
- Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry, Safety and Health Standards certification.
- Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry.
- BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations and various job sites.
The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.

The employee may be regularly required to work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight;
cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
