Work schedule:

Monday – Friday early morning start. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 (terms and conditions apply).

Position Purpose

Food and food service delivery drivers keep the country’s food supply chain moving. Our delivery drivers ensure customer products arrive on time and in good condition, while serving as the face of the company and building lasting customer relationships. The CDL‑A Driver will drive a tractor‑trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, shuttles, overnight routes, and drive‑and‑drop routes to deliver and/or unload food and related products in a safe and timely manner, complying with Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly.
  • Work as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Perform all required safety checks (pre‑ and post‑trip), inspecting tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company standards.
  • Report all safety issues and required repairs.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines and policies.
  • Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and secured.
  • Perform a count check of items and verify customer invoices with loaded products.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Move the tractor to the loading dock and attach pre‑loaded trailer as needed.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to the predetermined route delivery schedule.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Perform damage‑control checks, scan items, and contact a supervisor when orders must be removed per company policy.
  • Verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect payment (cash or checks) when required; load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
  • Ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, bring them to the driver check‑in, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Record hours of service daily and enter the log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.
  • At shift end, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL‑A license.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Attain or possess a current DOT Health Card, or be able to secure a new one.
  • Be able to hand‑lift and use two‑wheelers, lift gates, and other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight; product generally ranges from 10 to 35 pounds and up to approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location.
Compensation

Average salary: $90,000 per year.
