Position: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2

Administrative Assistant 2 (AA2)

Monroe Correctional Complex – Full time, Permanent, Internal (DOC) Candidates Only

Duties
  • Maintain documentation and data related to legal access requests as directed.
  • Complete public disclosure requests.
  • Review requests for virtual and telephone court actions to determine appropriate response plans.
  • Schedule venue for requested court interactions with incarcerated individuals.
  • Communicate with facility personnel regarding decided actions.
  • Facilitate connection with courts for incarcerated individuals.
  • Complete electronic data tracking of legal and court action requests, as well as child dependency actions.
  • Address correspondence related to legal access topics.
  • Ensure all public disclosure tasks assigned are in accordance with direction and DOC policy and complete associated documentation for the Public Disclosure Unit (POU).
  • Maintain required records associated with PD actions.
  • Complete annual training by required due dates and participate in meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications
    • High School graduation or equivalent education.
    • Two years of office/clerical work.
    • Basic computer proficiencies including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, and OMNI.
    • Accurate typing skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Clear understanding and commitment to DOC Core Values.
    • Previous experience in office administration with strong customer service, phone, and email etiquette.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work, write clearly, concisely, and factually.
    • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Knowledge of basic administrative procedures, correspondence preparation, state and departmental policies.
    • Ability to effectively direct work with others, write clearly, and collaborate on developing plans.
    • Creative and resourceful problem‑solving ability.
