Overview

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, is a community-based organization delivering comprehensive health, human, housing, educational, and cultural services, with a focus on serving Latino communities in Washington State. We are recruiting for the following position:
Dental Assistant I, II, or III – Posting #27033. The hourly rate is $21.69 to $23.57, and the position may require travel to Everett, Marysville, and Lynnwood clinics on-call.

• Assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures permitted under the Washington State Dental Practice Act, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
• Perform sterilization of equipment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and quality improvement protocols.
• Duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cords, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish, and administer fluoride treatments.
• Maintain accurate records for Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), spore tests, and dental supply inventories.
• Assist in training new dental assistants and organize schedules to generate checklists for maintenance of procedures.

• Valid Washington State license and basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Organizational skills and experience with dental records.
• Excellent customer service skills, including clear communication in English.
• Bilingual capability in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Prior orthodontic experience is preferred.

Dental Assistant II
:
Must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a college, technical institute, or equivalent. Minimum of six months of work experience, or, if no formal training, a minimum of eighteen months of experience.

Dental Assistant III
:
Must demonstrate proficiency in all responsibilities listed above. Requires two years of work experience, or, if no formal training, a minimum of three years of experience.
