PositionSummary
Dental Assistant I, II, or III – hourly $21.69 - $23.57. On‑call position available at the Monroe Dental Clinic, with potential travel to Everett, Marysville, and Lynnwood clinics to cover open shifts. The Assistant will support the dental provider in all procedures permitted by the Washington State Dental Practice Act, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Responsibilities- Assist the provider in restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and other approved procedures.
- Perform sterilization and adhere to OSHA regulations, including Quality Improvement.
- Duplicate and mount radiographs; take impressions; pour and trim models.
- Place temporary restorations, retraction cord, and matrix bands; perform coronal polish; administer fluoride treatments.
- Maintain accurate records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore tests, and dental supply inventory.
- Assist in training new Dental Assistants and organize schedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dental procedures.
- Valid Washington State license and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Organizational skills, dental record experience, and computer proficiency.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to read and write in English.
- Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Preferred previous orthodontic experience.
Dental Assistant II: must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program and a minimum of 6 months of work experience. Employees with no formal training must have at least 18 months of experience in a Dental Assistant position.
Dental Assistant III: must be knowledgeable of sterilization methods and OSHA regulations (QI), able to duplicate and mount radiographs, perform all listed clinical tasks, and have 2 years of experience. Employees with no formal training must have at least 3 years of experience.
