• Summary
  :
  The Hospice Aide provides direct patient care under the direction of the Clinical Services Manager or a designee and the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role ensures consistent, appropriate, cost‑effective care while managing patient and family needs, company policy compliance, and HSI’s financial objectives.
• Pay
  : $20.28 per hour. Full‑time, non‑exempt, 40 hours per week.
• Schedule
  :
  Monday‑Friday 8:30 AM‑5:00 PM. Possible rotational Saturday shifts averaging every 7th Saturday.
• Location
  :
  Based in the Belleville Patient Services Office. Visits patients throughout the Belleville service area, covering St. Clair, Monroe, Washington, and Randolph counties.
• Travel & Transportation
  :
  Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required. Mileage reimbursement: $0.70 per mile.

  :
  Hospice of Southern Illinois is certified by the State of Illinois and complies with the Illinois Equal Pay Act.

• A. Education
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course and current Illinois certification.
• B. Experience
  • One year experience in hospice/home health preferred.
  • Two years of CNA experience in hospital, long‑term care, or home health setting required.
• C. Other Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Reliable means of transportation.
• Physical Requirements
  • Perform repetitive tasks including bathing, transferring, lifting, and turning patients.
  • Prolonged sitting periods; can exert up to 100 lbs occasionally; 50 lbs frequently; or 20 lbs constantly.
  • Flexibility to bend at knee, squat‑bend.
  • Visual acuity >20 inches to
