HospiceAide CNA Position Summary
- Summary
:
The Hospice Aide provides direct patient care under the direction of the Clinical Services Manager or a designee and the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role ensures consistent, appropriate, cost‑effective care while managing patient and family needs, company policy compliance, and HSI’s financial objectives. - Pay
: $20.28 per hour. Full‑time, non‑exempt, 40 hours per week. - Schedule
:
Monday‑Friday 8:30 AM‑5:00 PM. Possible rotational Saturday shifts averaging every 7th Saturday. - Location
:
Based in the Belleville Patient Services Office. Visits patients throughout the Belleville service area, covering St. Clair, Monroe, Washington, and Randolph counties. - Travel & Transportation
:
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required. Mileage reimbursement: $0.70 per mile. - Certification
:

- A. Education
- High school graduate or GED.
- Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course and current Illinois certification.
- B. Experience
- One year experience in hospice/home health preferred.
- Two years of CNA experience in hospital, long‑term care, or home health setting required.
- C. Other Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Reliable means of transportation.
- Physical Requirements
- Perform repetitive tasks including bathing, transferring, lifting, and turning patients.
- Prolonged sitting periods; can exert up to 100 lbs occasionally; 50 lbs frequently; or 20 lbs constantly.
- Flexibility to bend at knee, squat‑bend.
- Visual acuity >20 inches to
