Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free-standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. We are looking for a detailed Health Information Technician/Coder for our Monroe location. The HIM Technician/coder processes discharge charts, including ICD-10 coding, chart assembly and analysis, and data entry across multiple systems. This role also supports the HIM department by scanning charts and assisting the ROI Coordinator, completing departmental tasks, and helping the Director of HIM as needed. In addition, the position helps maintain accurate patient records while patients are in-house and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, licensing requirements, and Joint Commission standards.

- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, licensing requirements, and Joint Commission standards.
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
Experience: 2+ years of administrative experience; 1 year in a health care setting required.
Additional Requirements: CPC, or CCS, or RHIT, or RHIA. Successful completion of Verbal De-Escalation and Handle with Care certifications, and CPR; provided during Fairfax new hire training.
