Wage Range: $49.84- $92.24per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation, such asshift differentials and premiums may be available for this role. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, applicable education and internal equity.
Evergreen Health Monroe, a small semi-rural acute care hospital has afantastic opportunity for an Registered Nurse to fill a position in our Medical Surgical Telemetry, staffed with 24/7 board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalists. Adheres to Hospital Policies and Procedures and Philosophy of Care. Consistently exhibits professional conduct that is a behavior-based expression of the hospital’s Standards of Excellence. Assesses plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates individualized, professional patient care to pediatric through geriatric patients within the medical-surgical telemetry unit (MSTU). Provides nursing care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, and the state Nurse Practice Act.
Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and critical thinking ability required to function on the unit and to respond to rapidly changing patient needs. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific appropriate treatment and care. Participates in unit and hospital Performance Improvement activities. Assumes Charge Nurse Role as assigned.
TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire date. Must obtain NIHSS Stroke Certification within 90 days of hire date.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTSAbility to think critically and use the nursing process. Ability to actively involve the patient and family members in decision making which affects the patient’s outcome. Ability to initiate, revise, contribute to and participate in the implementation of the interdisciplinary patient plan of care. Ability to organize and prioritize patient assignments and unit activities. Ability to document standards for specific pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
