Job Overview

The Materials Coordinator III supports warehouse and materials management operations. You facilitate the smooth flow of materials, ensuring supplies are readily available, organized for use, and responsive to changing demands. Your ability to work swiftly, maintain order, and react to dynamic needs improves overall efficiency and productivity.

  • Attention to Detail – Ensure accuracy in inventory counts, labeling, and documentation to maintain data integrity and product quality.
  • Strong Prioritization & Communication – Effectively organize workload, adapt to shifting priorities, and clearly communicate with team members and other departments to keep materials flowing smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Material Handling and Organization
    • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to assist in the movement of materials, supplies, and products.
    • Ensure materials are organized, labeled, and stored appropriately.
    • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or surpluses to relevant teams.
    • Complete daily inventory cycle counts, rectify discrepancies, and report abnormalities promptly.
  • Just‑in‑Time Delivery
    • Respond promptly to material requests from various departments and deliver to workstations or production areas as needed.
    • Maintain a system of timely and accurate material replenishment to support uninterrupted production flow.
  • Waste Reduction and Lean Principles
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles, including the 5S methodology, to reduce waste and improve organization.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest ways to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Data Tracking and Reporting
    • Keep detailed records of material movements, usage, and replenishment activities.
    • Generate reports and provide insights to supervisors on material consumption and trends.
  • Quality Control Support
    • Collaborate with quality control teams to assist in inspections, checks, and audits of materials.
    • Participate in identifying and addressing any quality‑related issues promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling materials and operating equipment.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Work closely with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to coordinate material movement and availability.
    • Foster open communication and teamwork to ensure a seamless flow of materials throughout the facility.
    • Implement Standard Work and SOPs.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management is a plus.
  • 7+ years operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) with safety focus.
  • 7+ years experience as a Water Spider, Material Handler, or in a related warehouse coordination role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Physical agility to handle materials, including standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and inventory control concepts.
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking material movements.
  • Problem‑solving skills to address unexpected issues and maintain material availability.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Work on-site at Monroe, WA; no remote or hybrid arrangement.
