Description

As a successful Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for all aspects of assembling electronic and electromechanical products, including, but not limited to, loading and unloading raw materials and work-in-process parts in a variety of tooling, fixtures, and equipment, assembling sub-assemblies and complete products, and testing sub-assemblies and full products as needed to meet the needs of our customers. Reviewing blueprints, schematics and other technical drawings to ensure proper transformations (fitting, bolting, wiring, applying labels/decals, packaging) are performed to transition raw / WIP materials into finished products.

You will work directly with the facilities and maintenance team to ensure equipment and tools are well-maintained and operating optimally. Additionally, you will ensure all parts assembled are done so to our quality standards and product specifications. In parallel with the physical assembly of parts, continuously reviewing processes and proposing improvements to best serve our customers will be your focus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transforms various materials, components, PCA’s, wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies into finished products using hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools, and other equipment in accordance with technical drawings and work instructions, within established cycle times, and at a high level of quality
  • Responsible for safety in the assembly department. Completes safety projects as assigned and holds a high safety standard for the team
  • Ensures targets for Productivity and Quality are met on an hourly and daily basis
  • Execute precise electromechanical assembly of components, PCAs, wiring harnesses, and sub-assemblies into finished products using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power equipment while adhering to technical drawings, work instructions, and established cycle times to consistently meet quality standards.
  • Champion safety standards within the assembly department by completing assigned safety projects and maintaining high safety expectations for the team while consistently meeting hourly and daily productivity and quality targets through effective time management and process adherence.
  • Apply lean manufacturing mindset and kaizen techniques to identify process improvements and problem-solving opportunities while demonstrating strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and collaborative teamwork to support business goals and customer success in demanding work environments.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • 0 to 3 years of electromechanical fabrication, assembly and test of low to mid-complexity machines and systems
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and schematics with limited supervision required
  • Open to learning kaizen / continuous improvement techniques and works to accomplish projects with a lean manufacturing mindset
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in either a work or academic environment
  • Basic problem-solving and electromechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in demanding (physical and mental) situations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • HVAC assembly and installation preferred, but not required
