The School Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of students. In this position, you will oversee the nursing process within a school environment, respond to medical needs, manage chronic conditions, and serve as a trusted liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers. This is a meaningful opportunity to support students’ physical, mental, and emotional wellness while contributing to a safe and supportive learning environment.

• Deliver direct nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders
• Respond to medical emergencies and urgent health concerns
• Manage chronic health conditions and medication administration
• Promote health, safety, and wellness across the school community
  
  Maintain accurate documentation and follow nursing standards of practice
• Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
• Support students’ overall well-being in the school setting

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• School Nurse Certification (as required by state or contract)
• One year of school nursing, public health, or pediatric experience preferred
• Compliance with all professional nursing standards
• Current CPR (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
