The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN4) for the Monroe Correctional Complex located in Monroe, Washington.
Under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse 4 supports the Department's mission to improve public safety by assisting in the implementation of the nursing process and delivering services to promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment of various health conditions.

Monroe Correctional Complex is one of our larger facilities handling a patient population with many diverse health care needs. Monroe Correctional Complex is our only facility that takes care of dialysis patients in house.
- 26 bed in patient unit
- Treatment of chronic disease such as HEP C, diabetes, hypertension, cancer, Alzheimer dementia and COPD
- Outpatient clinics see 15-20 patients per day

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- OR an unencumbered Multistate License from a participating Compact Licensure State with completion of Suicide Prevention, EDIR training, and MLS demographic survey.
- AND two years experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR.
- Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor and track patient information, perform data entry, and word processing, and communicate via email, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work.
