Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing (2nd Shift)

We're a nutritional supplements manufacturer that is looking to expand our team! The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting production teams to minimize downtime. This role focuses on keeping equipment safe, efficient and compliant with company standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machines, conveyors, and building systems to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on industrial equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and restore production operations with minimal disruption.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, complete work orders, and update maintenance logs in CMMS.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects by identifying repeat issues and proposing corrective actions.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with hands-on electrical and mechanical work.
  • Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting (motors, controls, PLCs, relays) and mechanical systems (bearings, gears, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and basic measurement instruments (multimeter, calipers, micrometers).
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and ability to maintain detailed maintenance records.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and practices (lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E awareness preferred).
