Youth Housing Support Staff

Cocoon House seeks Youth Housing Support Staff to provide direct support to at-risk and homeless youth in shelter and housing programs. In this role, you'll build trusting relationships, support daily living skills, monitor safety, and respond to crises using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. Working within a collaborative, inclusive team, you'll help youth work toward stability, education, and independence while maintaining accurate documentation and partnering with case managers and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support and supervision for youth in housing programs
• Build trusting, empowering relationships with at-risk and homeless youth
• Use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches in all interactions
• Monitor safety, enforce program guidelines, and de-escalate conflicts
• Support case plans, groups, life-skills coaching, and goal setting
• Document services, incidents, and progress in a timely, accurate manner
• Coordinate with case managers, outreach, and community partners
• Support intakes, orientations, and transitions to and from housing
• Maintain clean, welcoming, and youth-centered program spaces
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous improvement
