Automotive Mechanic​/Technician

Dearth Automotive (Chrysler - Dodge - Jeep - Ram) in Monroe is accepting applications for our Automotive Mechanic/Technician position! This position is ideal for an individual with previous automotive experience, excellent communication skills, and excellent customer service skills. • Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (electrical and mechanical)

• Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety and combustion control standards
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed with the most up to date information
• Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
• Maintain shop equipment through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma;
  Technical degree in related field is preferred
• Previous experience in the automotive field
• ASE certifications is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one
• Able to provide personal tools
• Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements
• Ability to work 8-10 hour days, including overtime hours as needed
• Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk and sit on a regular basis with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
