Fehr Graham is a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a motivated and experienced Municipal Project Manager in civil engineering or environmental engineering to ensure our projects are successful.
What’s in it for you?As a Municipal Project Manager focused on transportation projects, you’ll play a key role in designing, managing and delivering high-quality infrastructure projects that serve communities across southern Wisconsin. You’ll take ownership of roadway, intersection and municipal infrastructure improvements and guide clients and internal teams through every phase, from concept to construction.
Where you’ll workThe position is based in our Monroe, Wisconsin office.
What you’ll doAs a Municipal Project Manager, you’ll lead and manage municipal transportation projects, including roadway reconstruction, resurfacing, streetscape and traffic improvement initiatives.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and designs aligned with client expectations and funding requirements.
- Coordinate with municipal clients, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), local utilities and other stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor design engineers and technical staff, ensuring deliverables meet quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates and technical reports to support business development and project pursuits.
- Represent Fehr Graham at public meetings, council sessions and client presentations.
- Oversee construction administration tasks and maintain strong relationships with contractors and field personnel.
Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. You should bring eight to 10 years of experience in municipal or transportation engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin is required or the ability to obtain licensure within the first six months of employment. Ideally, you will also:
- Have experience with roadway design (urban and rural), plan preparation and WisDOT procedures.
- Have strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to balance client management with project execution.
- Be able to manage multiple projects and mentor junior engineers effectively.
