Overview
Cleaver-Brooks is looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Monroe, WI. The Material Handler is responsible for the incoming and outgoing shipments of materials, pulling and verifying materials for production orders, and assisting with maintaining in-process inventory at work centers.

Responsibilities- Maintains and updates records of shipments coming in and out of the facility using IFS System.
- Handles non-conforming material per procedures. Upon request, identifies unfilled orders on a job.
- Prepares and loads Aftermarket orders for shipment.
- Pulls materials with pick lists from IFS for packing for shipment to customers.
- Packages items to be shipped, posting weight and shipping charges and affixes appropriate shipping labels. Create packing lists for shipments.
- Photographs content of product shipment to serve as record. Assigns appropriate job number and places in active job file in computer system.
- Unpacks incoming shipments, checks shipping papers for proper information, inspects parts for damage and accountability, identifies parts, sets CODE material out for QC inspections. Assigns locations and labels material being received; routes items to departments.
- Demonstrates good communication skills.
- Understands and abides by all safety rules.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklift, two-wheeler, and overhead cranes.
- Aids in inventory and cycle counting activities as required.
- Performs other duties in the plant as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control roles and movement/transactions.
- Knowledge of computer ERP systems, inventory transactions and information screens.
- Some knowledge of Excel and/or Access helpful but not required.
- Ability to read, write and speak English well.
- Operation of material handling equipment (forklift, two-wheeler, overhead cranes) required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, be systematic and detail-oriented, and maintain good attendance.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform related manual tasks. Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces up to 12 hours, with regular bending, stretching, stooping, and squatting.
Working ConditionsMust be able to work in temperature ranges of both indoor and outdoor environments. Ability to access all areas of the plant. Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, and welding fumes.
