Monroe Truck Equipment is passionate about providing on-site,
paid training for people interested in a Welding career! If you have never welded before, but have always had an interest, we can train you in MIG welding.
Candidates who excel at this training possess mechanical aptitude, have great hand/eye coordination, bring a desire to learn, appreciate hands-on instruction, and enjoy teamwork. Again,
no prior welding experience is required. This is a great opportunity for people looking to transition to a new career

Classes starting July 13th 2026
Position: Weld School Trainee
Shift: Monday-Friday; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Status: Fulltime
The 6-week gas metal arc welding (GMAW) on-the-job training program is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to:
- Understand the GMAW process
- Use the proper safety precautions for arc welding
- Learn the impact that key variables have on weld integrity and identify weld defects
- Interpret blueprints utilized in the welding environment
- Create an understanding of Monroe Truck Equipment's workmanship standards
