Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blue prints and follow various work instructions.
  • Set-up and operate CNC machine tools (CNC lathe/mill).
  • Set-up and operate various manual machine tools (drill press, belt sander, etc.).
  • Proficient using measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Proficient using various hand tools.
  • Ability to work well with fellow employees including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem solving.
  • Fully support and participate in promoting safety at all times.
  • Maintain clean, efficient work area. Ability to work well with minimum supervision.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 2 years in a manufacturing environment that includes CNC equipment
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Standing, bending, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs., periodically during an 8 to 12 hr. work shift. Dexterity required includes the ability to safely work with power and hand tools.
  • Normal hazards associated with working in a metal fabricating environment. Personal protection equipment required: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection. Additional PPE may be required depending on the work performed.
