Location:
Third St, Monroe, WI, US
Shift: 5:30am – 3pm, Monday-Friday (OT as required)
Salary Range: $18.45 to $21.14 hourly
Job SummaryThe Packaging General Labor employee is responsible for safely producing and packaging high-quality cheese products in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role performs a variety of production and packaging duties including machine feeding, labeling, weighing, boxing, palletizing, cutting, and sanitation while maintaining strict food safety, quality, and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities- Operate packaging equipment safely following standard operating procedures.
- Inspect products for quality and report defects or concerns.
- Maintain production standards while meeting quality expectations.
- Rotate between workstations based on production needs.
- Assist with changeovers and basic equipment cleaning.
- Maintain accurate production documentation.
- Immediately report food safety, quality, or safety concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support production schedule.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10+ hour shift.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and squatting.
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Regular lifting, carrying, and moving products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and wet production environments.
- Ability to work around moving machinery.
- Ability to wear required PPE including hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders when necessary.
- Ability to distinguish product labels and color‑coded materials.
This position is performed in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with exposure to refrigerated and wet conditions, moving machinery, and production noise. Employees are required to wear designated PPE and follow all GMP, food safety, sanitation, and safety requirements. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on business needs.
