Position Title:

Packaging Operator

Wage: $18.45 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours:

5:00am-3:00pm

Join a dynamic team as a Packaging Operator, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring efficient packaging operations within a clean, fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands‑on skills in production, quality control, and equipment operation while contributing to delivering quality products to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor all equipment on the packaging line, including setup, changeovers, and shutdowns.
  • Follow production schedules and ensure packaging meets customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with GMP and sanitation protocols.
  • Perform product verification tasks such as checking labels, code dates, and metal detector results.
  • Assist in cleaning and handling of brine and panela forms as needed.
  • Conduct and document metal detector checks and verifications.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack, maintaining certification as required.
  • Report unsafe conditions and adhere strictly to safety and PPE protocols.
  • Keep accurate records and complete relevant paperwork related to production.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand, walk, bend, twist, and squat for the duration of shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform moderately strenuous work in a cool, wet environment with moderate noise.
  • Dependable attendance and high personal hygiene standards per GMPs.
