Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a mixed acuity night shift unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and tracheostomy management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response protocols
• Wound care and isolation precaution knowledge required
• Experience with insulin protocols and renal failure management preferred
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Mixed acuity Med/Surg Tele unit with MS, MS/Tele, and Tele patients
• Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, sepsis, cellulitis, pneumonia, SBO, afib, NSTEMI, CVA/TIA, total joint replacement, AMS, and AKI
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide direct patient care across a variety of med/surg and telemetry diagnoses
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as needed
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility without taking a 6-month break before returning
