Seasonal - Summer Park Maintenance

Summary of Position

The Park Maintenance employee is responsible for assisting in general parks maintenance work and is accountable for the proper accomplishment of assigned duties and proper care of equipment.

• Perform general park maintenance work.
• Grounds maintenance.
• Paint / stain park buildings / equipment.
• Clean park grounds, restrooms and shelters.
• Ball field maintenance / preparation for games.
• Assist with maintenance of swimming pool.
• Assist with special event preparation and clean up.
• Assist with forestry work.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties.
• Represent the Park and Recreation & Forestry Department in a positive way by completing tasks in an efficient manner at all times and to the best of your ability. You are in a position of public service, with the public observing your performance at all times.
• Responsible for ensuring all keys, equipment and supplies are returned at the end of the season.
• Follow all department policies and procedures.

• Minimum age of 17.
• Previous experience with grounds maintenance and operation of maintenance equipment and tools.
• Ability to communicate, be courteous and cooperate with other staff members & the public.
• Have a valid Driver's License and Pass a Drug Test after the position has been offered to you.
