Bowser Collision is looking for a Paint Prep Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and understands that quality preparation is one of the most important steps in producing a quality finished repair.

This is a great opportunity for someone with automotive or collision experience who enjoys working with their hands and wants to build or continue developing their skills in the collision repair industry.

What You'll Do

* Prepare vehicles and parts for the painting process.

* Perform sanding, masking, scuffing, priming, and other paint preparation duties.

* Prepare new and repaired parts for paint.

* Perform cut-in and paint preparation work as needed.

* Inspect surfaces and repairs to identify imperfections before vehicles move into the paint process.

* Properly mask and protect vehicles and components during the preparation and painting process.

* Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment.

* Follow established repair procedures and safety guidelines.

* Work closely with body technicians, painters, estimators, and other collision center personnel to keep repairs moving efficiently.

* Complete work accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.

What We're Looking For

* Previous automotive, collision, or paint preparation experience preferred.

* Experience with sanding, masking, priming, or other paint preparation work is a plus.

* Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.

* Ability to follow instructions and repair procedures.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.

* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates who have automotive experience, technical training, or the right attitude and desire to learn the trade.
