Job Summary As an Experienced Business Systems Administrator, you will work autonomously to perform advanced, complex critical technical functions to execute the BPMI mission in areas including but not limited to administering, maintaining, and supporting BPMI engineering systems to promote reliable system operations, effective security and internal controls, accurate information, and efficient business processes. This role collaborates with users, business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party providers to support system deployment, access and configuration, upgrades and testing, troubleshooting and training, documentation, reporting and data extraction, audit activities, and ongoing system and process improvements.
This position focuses on administering and sustaining BPMI's digital-engineering platforms to support integrated digital workflows. The selected individual will deploy, configure, and maintain key enterprise applications, including digital thread and integration platforms, PLM/engineering data systems, and work-tracking solutions to ensure these tools operate cohesively as a connected system.
Essential Duties:
- Implement and maintain purchased applications and platforms (for example:
Syndeia, Teamwork Cloud, Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Oracle PLM) including configuration, integration, and lifecycle management. - Lead collaboration with departments to deliver products and services to internal customers, conduct process reviews and self-assessments, identify trends, optimize operations, and mitigate business and system risks.
- Drive the administration and maintenance of BPMI business systems, including acting as the Administrator/Super User for the software, enabling and disabling users, managing role permissions, setting up new properties, and scheduling reports.
- Architect and maintain system administration and user security controls involving security groups, new user setup, system access, role assignments, and related security requirements.
- Lead system upgrades, including evaluating business process impacts, developing testing approaches, coordinating implementation activities, resolving issues, and supporting efficient production rollouts.
- Validate system configurations and work performed by third-party consultants to ensure alignment with business requirements, internal controls, security expectations, and operational objectives.
- Identify and interpret user requirements and system constraints to develop functional requirements and system specifications for the programming of changes to computer applications.
- Design and lead the drafting and finalization of new or revised written policies, procedures, system documentation, training materials, and user support resources.
- Design reports, queries, and data extraction solutions that enable management to interpret, evaluate, and control the effects of business decisions.
- Pioneer initiatives that introduce automation, analytics, and advanced methods into the platform lifecycle.
- Provide subject matter expertise for system implementation project teams and participate in system development from concept inception through production rollout.
- Drive collaboration across IT, engineering, operations, procurement, quality, and other business units to align technology solutions with strategic priorities.
- Guide less experienced colleagues in designing, configuring, coding, testing, modeling, and deploying applications and integrations; provide feedback and mentoring on best practices for reliability, security, and maintainability.
