Material Handler
Volt is immediately hiring a Material Handler at Monroeville, PA. As a Material Handler, you will support manufacturing operations involving photochromic dyes, OLED materials, and optical coatings. This role is responsible for safely handling, moving, and preparing materials while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move chemicals, drums, totes, and pallets.
- Prepare and stage chemicals for production, verifying quantities and shelf life.
- Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Verify order accuracy and prepare shipments.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment.
- Willingness to wear a respirator and required PPE.
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
This is a Contract full time opportunity. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
