Laboratory Technician I

Volt is immediately hiring for multiple Laboratory Technicians in Monroeville, PA.
Each Laboratory Technician will perform routine walkthroughs of laboratories to monitor laboratory equipment overnight to ensure operations stay within predetermined safe hold conditions. Communicate deviations from hold conditions directly to shift manager. This position requires the use of PPE while in laboratories.
As a Laboratory Technician you will:
- Prepare and maintain laboratory spaces and organize resources for analytical testing.
- Support laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and samples.
- Conduct chemical testing to capture basic analytical data
- Conduct mechanical performance testing for research, development, and quality control.
- Conduct visual observations and tests on samples, potentially including competitor products
- Document all results accurately
These roles are full-time and must work onsite.
Schedule:
This is a nighttime role with shifts being
Tuesday - Friday evenings 7 PM - 5 AM
The ideal candidate will have:
- All positions require at minimum a high school diploma, some may require an associate's degree or higher, majoring in a science based field. Fields include electronics, biology, chemistry, or microbiology.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting, either educationally or professionally.
- Experience collecting data, data entry, and tracking of project based data.
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable candidate who will hold themselves accountable
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products.
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
