Accounting Manager

Overview

Our manufacturing client, in partnership with CV Resources, seeks a talented Accounting Manager to join their Finance and Accounting Team on a direct hire basis. Our client will also consider Controllers working at companies below an annual revenue of $100 million
.

Note that this role is an individual contributor role. There are no staff members to supervise.

Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: near Monrovia

Job Status – Direct Hire

Job Site Status (onsite/hybrid/remote) – Our client has an onsite work site policy.

Compensation – Salary range will be $120,000/year to $140,000/year.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

General Ledger (G/L) Accounting

• Own the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial close process.
• Prepare accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Perform weekly and bi-weekly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure financial data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.

Compliance & Controls

• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
• Create compliance and controls processes that prevent future errors.
• Design, document, and implement clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across accounting functions.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

• Perform variance analysis to compare budgeted and actual figures.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
• At least ten (10) years of progressive accounting experience.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor

Preferred

• CPA
• Current or prior employment at a manufacturing company.

Required

Technical

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS)

Interpersonal

• Superb analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Desire to be “hands-on.”
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
