You will provide electrical engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the electrical engineering team. The purpose is to manage a team of electrical engineers and designers and oversee their work on oil, gas, and chemical projects.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of electrical engineers and designers and oversee their work on oil/ gas/ chemical projects.
- Plan, organize, and direct engineering work, ensuring on‑time completion, safety‑in‑design and quality outcomes from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with project management, client, and other disciplines to meet project objectives.
- May lead one or more projects while providing guidance for other lead engineers within the program.
- Maintain relationship with project management and client to ensure satisfaction with the quality and progress of the project.
- Communicate effectively (written, emails, verbal) with the team and management, possess strong leadership and problem‑solving skills, motivate, create a positive work environment, help the team to learn, grow and work together to achieve common goals.
- Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley's, its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Initiate, manage, and if required supervise electrical engineering project requirements.
- Perform electrical engineering services such as:
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities (e.g., write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and create purchase orders).
- If required, act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.
- If responsible for a team:
- Outline project requirements, actively promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress.
- Ensure the required services meet Worley's, its customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its customer's requirements.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
- If required, assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
What you will bring:
- Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
- Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering, and basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and electrical engineering specific software, ETAP, PSCAD, SPL.
