We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our team. Core responsibility: provide detailed electrical design drawings and support the project team from a technical perspective.

• Perform moderately to difficult drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of established drafting techniques, standards, practices and software, and apply company procedures relevant to the electrical discipline.
• Oversee the preparation of design and detail drawings from sketches, plans or other design or specification data.
• Take responsibility for the design and drafting of HV and LV electrical installations.
• Direct the work of junior designers, ensuring drawings meet client requirements and relevant project specifications.
• Participate in design reviews with various clients, advising on technical design, drafting issues and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of completing given work scopes within time and budget constraints.
• Develop layouts, plans, sections, elevations and details for facilities, equipment and other assets from reference drawings or catalogues, and perform routine calculations.
• Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings, and maintain and file electrical discipline documents.
• Uphold the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the project.

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Design or Drafting with 5+ years of experience.

• Experience with SPEL, AutoCAD, Micro Station design software packages; AVEVA 2D/3D is a plus.
• Experience with SP3D, PDMS, PDS, and EERWAY 3D CAD system; participate in 3D model reviews.
• Specialization in detailed drawings for lighting, small power and earthing systems, HV/LV single line diagrams, wiring and control schematic diagrams, AC/DC distribution panels, process area electrical equipment layouts, substation and switchyard layouts, cable tray and underground cable layouts, duct bank sizing, grounding plans, lightning layouts, cable schedules, cable pulling and sizing calculations, and lightning calculations using software such as AGI
  32 or Dia Lux.
