- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Tax Consultant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our company's tax obligations and ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills in tax accounting, with potential for career advancement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Prepare and review complex income tax returns, including federal, state, and local income tax returns and estimates.
- Conduct research on various tax matters; interpret and apply tax laws and regulations to the company's operations.
- Assist with tax planning and strategy implementation to minimize tax liabilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
- Manage tax audits and inquiries by various tax authorities, including preparing responses and supporting documentation.
- Provide tax advice to management on business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, new business ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address tax implications of company operations and transactions.
- Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for tax reporting and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on income tax.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state income tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to stay updated on new tax laws and accounting standards.
