This position is an assembler position in our Systems Operations group. Primary duties will be to provide assembly, calibration, setup, and testing for a wide range of multi-level products in a high mix, low volume environment. This position's duties and responsibilities involve the performance of manual work.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assembling, calibrating, setting up, and testing a wide range of precision mechanical, pneumatic, and electric assemblies to a high level of quality.
- Ability to complete or finalize modified products with limited direction using experience and analytical skills.
- Assemble prototypes with limited input from engineering department.
- Provide manufacturing inputs to reduce product costs, build time, and product reliability.
- Use basic test instruments to troubleshoot workstations, products, and assemblies.
- Light machining required, as well as use of belt sander, saw, grinder, drills, etc.
- Work safely in and around an industrial manufacturing facility.
- Maintain high efficiency and excellent quality.
- Support assembly, stockroom, and quality tasks outside of their own department.
- Perform other tasks and projects assigned by the management of AMADA WELD TECH from time to time.
- Background in precision electro‑mechanical manufacturing.
- Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic models, schematics, and drawings in English.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good dexterity and skill in use of hand tools.
- Soldering.
- Willing to work on the production floor with employees to facilitate expedited completion of project schedules and resolution of production issues.
- Ability to train or mentor new employees.
- Must be able to work occasionally weekends and overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- AA in Electronics or related field or have advanced electronic and mechanical assembly skills.
- 4 to 6 years of experience as an electrical and mechanical assembly technician.
- Diligence and being flexible to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Initiative‑taking with a keen sense of ownership in all areas of responsibility.
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
- Understands AMADA WELD TECH INC.'s basic philosophy and participates fully in conducting its mission.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic models, schematics, and drawings in English.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
