Shipping Packer​/Crating Associate - Temp

Summary Primary duties are to pack or crate products as required in preparations for shipment to both domestic and international destinations.

Essential Duties Crate large standard products and systems per instructions from prefabricated crates and materials.

Package smaller products using prefabricated corrugated boxes and foam per instructions.

Stocking packaging material deliveries as required.

Other tasks and projects assigned by the management of Amada Weld Tech from time to time.

Required Skillset Ability and knowledge to use power tools such as miter saw, table saw, nail guns, staple guns, trim saw, reciprocating saw, and drills

Ability and knowledge to use standard hand tools

Ability to accurately measure dimensions using a tape measure and level.

Ability to neatly package products and in a way to maximize the protection of the product.

Quality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are a must.

Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE working in a shipping department is preferable

Experience with wood fabrication including measuring and cutting (framing, carpentry, or similar) is necessary.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures is required

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is preferred.
