The OSHR Flexible Benefits Division administers statewide benefits and wellness programs for state agencies, universities, community colleges, and charter schools.
NCFlex is the State of North Carolina’s section 125 benefit program, which offers pre-tax benefits plans to employees. The Wellness program provides information and events to State of NC employees as well as agency wellness leaders to help promote and enhance employee safety, health, and wellness.
INTERNAL TO CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES ONLY       Recruitment Range: $58,613.00 - $80,000.00    We are seeking a dynamic communication professional to join our team and help develop creative approaches to sharing information about supplemental benefits and wellness initiatives. This position will perform the following:

• Revise essential documents for employers and employees to enhance their    understanding of NCFlex benefits and wellness initiatives, encompassing   announcements, newsletters, and alerts.

• Oversee the organization and facilitation of online presentations focused on   benefits and wellness training, and informational sessions.

• Support the organization and execution of live awards events, including   collaboration with key stakeholders and the development of event flyers,   programs, and other communication materials.

• Ensure that all materials related to NCFlex benefits are clear and accessible   for both employers and employees.

• Coordinate logistics for both virtual and in-person events to ensure a   seamless experience for all participants.
** Knowledge

Skills and Abilities

/Management Preferences
*** Proven expertise in utilizing creative design software along with PowerPoint.
* Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
* Established ability to multitask and oversee multiple projects at once.
* Proven experience in making web edits.
* Demonstrated capability in moderating events on virtual webinar platforms.
* Experienced in event planning and/or management.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution, and 2 years of experience required; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
