TURNERS FALLS Transit Bus Operator
Franklin Transit Management (FTM) is currently seeking full‑time and part‑time transit bus drivers. The schedules may include working on weekends and shifts may vary. Full‑time employees are scheduled 40 hours per week (8hrs/day) with 2 consecutive days off.
All employees are offered a 401k with employer match, paid holidays, personal time, and sick time. It is preferred that potential employees already have a valid Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement, but training for CDL is available on a case‑by‑case basis.
ON THE JOB TRAINING IS AVAILABLESafely and efficiently operate assigned vehicles on either a fixed‑route or paratransit schedule. Interact with passengers to answer any questions pertaining to service. Communicate effectively with dispatchers.
Requirements:Valid Class A or B Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and no air brakes restriction is preferred. Valid Class D license for at least 3 years is required. Have or be able to obtain a Federal DOT Medical Certificate. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions for any employer at any time; be able to pass a drug screen and background check, including motor vehicle check to DOT standards.
Preferred Qualifications:Past customer service experience.
