Behavioral Health Scheduler

• Answer high volume of incoming calls and assist clients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general inquiries
• Schedule appointments for multiple behavioral health providers across various locations
• Verify and update client information, including contact details and insurance
• Explain the Open Access process to clients seeking to begin services
• Accurately document call details and update the care team accordingly
• Coordinate interpreters when needed for scheduled appointments
• Follow up with clients who missed appointments to assist with rescheduling
• Manage Psychiatry Provider schedule changes, cancellations, and back filling appointments
• Collaborate with front desk and department staff to ensure scheduling accuracy
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance at all times

• High School/GED preferred
• Experience with behavioral health scheduling preferred
• Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
• Clear and kind communication, especially over the phone
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a high-call-volume setting
• Detail-oriented and confident working across multiple systems and screens
• Teamwork and collaboration with clinical and administrative staff
• Positive, professional attitude and commitment to helping others
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance

Demonstrates expertise in behavioral health scheduling, client communication, and HIPAA compliance while effectively managing high call volumes and coordinating with clinical and administrative teams.
