Medical Support Assistant; PRC)

This position is located in the Purchase/Referred Care (PRC) of the IHS Service Unit. The purpose of this position is to provide support services and assistance by performing medical support assistance duties, record keeping and miscellaneous clerical support duties associated with beneficiaries. A REAL  be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

- Reviews patient information to help determine eligibility for care, rules and regulations, the service delivery areas, tribal membership and residence.

Supports staff in examining alternate resources for patients under the program and screens for patient eligibility through the Medicare, Medicaid, Vocational Rehabilitation, V.A., private insurance or other third-party programs. General Clerical Tasks
- Provides clerical assistance in the reports and monitoring the cases. Types letters and memoranda. Prepares responses and routine correspondence and compile information concerning contract services for submission to patients.

The posted pay range is $34193 - $52957/yr.
