Tire Technician-Townsend

Kolar Tire & Auto is seeking a skilled and dependable Tire Technician to join our team in Townsend, Montana. As a Tire Tech, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, mounting, and balancing tires, as well as assisting customers with their tire needs. You will ensure high-quality service, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.

• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation
• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for various vehicle types
• Operate tire changing and balancing equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Assist customers with tire‑related questions and provide excellent service
• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA standards

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Tire Technician preferred (but we will train the right candidate)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
