Director of Purchasing

Responsible for leading and managing purchasing operations across all departments, ensuring cost-effective procurement, supplier relationship management, and compliance with policies while supporting operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee all procurement activities, including RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
• Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and systems for inventory and cost control.
• Establish and maintain strategic supplier agreements to optimize pricing, delivery, and quality.
• Provide regular reporting on purchasing performance, inventory, and cost variances.
• Support menu costing, budgeting, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.
• Stay current on product trends and attend industry events for sourcing opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience:
  
  5+ years in purchasing within hospitality (F&B/Hotel) with large-scale or multi-unit operations preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and budget control.
• Knowledge:
  Purchasing, costing, and inventory management systems; proficient in MS Office.
• Competencies:
  
  Results-driven, highly organized, excellent communication, integrity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Education:
  
  College/University preferred; relevant certifications an asset.
• Must be a US citizen - no work permit or sponsorship offered.
