Community Manager

This is an in-person position in Missoula, Montana. Occasional evening and weekend attendance may be required for community events and networking functions.

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, member experience, leasing performance, community engagement, marketing initiatives, and event coordination within the coworking space. This role serves as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and community partners while cultivating a professional, welcoming, and collaborative environment. A core responsibility of this position is driving membership occupancy through proactive leasing strategies, maintaining a strong prospect pipeline and waitlist and ensuring the coworking space remains competitive within the local market.

Key Responsibilities

Community Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, guests, and community partners.
  • Foster a collaborative and engaging coworking environment that encourages member retention and satisfaction.
  • Conduct tours for prospective members and facilitate onboarding for new members.
  • Develop and enforce community policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate member communications and announcements.
  • Manage member signups, inquiries, and billing dispute resolution.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming, professional coworking environment.

Operations, Facilities & Technology

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the coworking space.
  • Open and close the facility daily as required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the coworking space, including daily upkeep and wipe down of the kitchen, lounge areas, conference rooms, and shared work spaces. Responsibilities include brewing coffee, loading/unloading the dishwasher, cleaning surfaces, and appliances throughout the day.
  • Maintain and restock member amenities, snacks, beverages, coffee, kitchen inventory, and bathroom supplies to ensure the space remains fully stocked and functional.
  • Manage mail and package acceptance, sorting, and distribution.
  • Coordinate basic facility maintenance and vendor communication.
  • Oversee technology and access systems, including Wi-Fi connectivity, conference room equipment, sound systems, printers, security and door access systems, and basic troubleshooting of operational technology issues.
  • Maintain and utilize coworking management software, including Engage, for membership management, communication, billing coordination, and operational reporting.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Manage social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In.
  • Develop content and promotional materials for digital and print marketing campaigns.
  • Build partnerships and maintain relationships within the local business community.
  • Support membership growth through strategic networking and outreach initiatives.
  • Lead membership leasing efforts, occupancy strategies, and outreach initiatives to maintain high occupancy and ensure C3 remains competitive in the coworking market.
  • Maintain and actively manage membership prospect lists and waitlists.
  • Track leasing trends, member feedback, and market conditions to support business growth and retention.
  • Partner with leadership on pricing, promotions, and occupancy strategies.
  • Coordinate open house events, networking workshops, and member engagement activities.

Event Coordination

  • Coordinate and execute community and corporate events, including catering, entertainment, setup, teardown, and attendee management.
  • Develop event strategies that support business growth and community engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in hospitality, coworking, property management or sales
  • Understanding of business operations, marketing, and event coordination principles.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new software platforms.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent presentation and relationship-building abilities.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements This position may require standing, walking, lifting light office or event materials, and working occasional evenings or weekends for events and community functions.

Pay: $/hr.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Montana Driver's License preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Background check may be required in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
