The Childcare Provider is responsible for delivering exceptional performance in the role, embodying Ranch core values, and upholding the standards set for Forbes Five-Star Properties and members of Relais & Chateaux. By consistently providing a safe, positive, and caring environment to the children in their care, this role develops the parental rapport required for parents to be comfortable with their children in Ranch care.
The Childcare Provider must be professional, patient, dependable, energetic, and loving, with a passion for child care and making a difference in the lives of children.
- Developmentally appropriate and play-based child interaction.
- Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child.
- Prepare meals for the children in Ranch care, following dietary restrictions.
- Maintain daily open communication with parents.
- Keep clear and correct records regarding accidents, medication, and daily parent reports.
- Develop and maintain a warm, high-quality learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive, safe and healthy environment; report any suspected abuse to supervisor.
- Attend all staff meetings at The Ranch at Rock Creek
- Meet all applicable licensing/registration regulations.
- Be a positive influence in the lives of children and their parents
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous supervisor and childcare experience preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Must provide up-to-date immunization records (measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria).
- Must attend Basic Daycare Orientation within 60 days of hire and complete an additional 8 hours of approved training annually.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Ability to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length, lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch (sometimes in limited space).
- Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment; ability to grasp and write.
- Adequate hearing ability and visual acuity required to communicate with children, providers and parents.
