Thispositionplaysakeyroleinsupportingthesuccessfulexecutionofconstructionprojectsbyassistingwithprojectdocumentation,cost tracking,scheduling,procurement,andcommunicationthroughoutallphasesofconstruction.
The Project Engineerworkscloselywiththe Project Manager ,Superintendent,subcontractors,owners,architects,andinternalteamstohelpensureprojectsarecompletedsafely,efficiently,andonschedule.
- WorkwithPM,Superintendent,and Estimatingtodevelopthebaselineschedule
- Establishing,maintaining,conducting,andenforcingdetailedproceduresforthesubmittal,review,coordination,approval,anddistributionofshopdrawingsandsamples
- Establishandmaintainallprojectengineeringfilesrelatingtosubcontracts,plans,specifications,changes,clarifications(RFI’s) andas-built documents
- Managingtheprocurementprocessforlongleadtimematerialsandequipment
- Recommendinganddraftingchangeorders;
Reviewingsubcontractorchangeorderrequests - ReviewingtimecardsandproductionrateswithPMand Superintendent
- Trackingprojectbudgetsandproposingvalueengineeringopportunities
- Goodcustomerrelations.
Workinacollaborativemannerwiththe Owner,Subcontractors,Design Teams,and Vendors - Coordinationoftoolandequipmenttrackingprocedures
- Coordinatedeliveriesofequipmentandmaterialswiththebaselinescheduleandthe Superintendent'sneeds
- Obtainrequiredpermits
- Providesurveyandmachinecontrolsupporttocrewsasrequired
- Assist Estimatingdepartmentasrequested
- Otherdutiesasassignedby Project Manager
- Engineeringorrelateddegreeand1-3yearsofexperienceinheavyconstructionoranequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience
- Abilitytoreadandunderstandspecificationsandinterpretconstructiondrawings
- Displayanuncompromisingfocusonsafetybyproperlyfollowingcompanypoliciesandgovernmentregulationsforsafeworkingproceduresandprotectionoftheenvironment
- Attentiontodetailandhighlyorganized
- Abilitytodeliverdetailedwrittenandoralinstructions
- Technologyliterate–abilitytooperatecomputers,tablets,andsmartphones.
Utilizesoftwareincluding Microsoft Office ;
Procore,CADandHCSSexperiencepreferred - Mustrequireminimalsupervision
- Displayaprofessionalandcourteousattitudetoclients,designers,co-workers,supervisorsandthegeneralpublicatalltimes
