Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity
Benefis Health System, a large trauma center in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking an advanced practice provider to join our trauma program. We will consider both nurse practitioner and physician assistant candidates – experience is required.
Position Information
- Two APP model working 7 on 7 off, no nights, no call
- General duties include daily rounds on trauma patients, admissions/discharges, post hospital follow up visits, involvement in trauma committee and participation in staff education & training
- Trauma partners include General Surgeons, Ortho Trauma MD+APP, Neurosurgery, ENT, Facial Trauma, Plastics, Critical Care, CVT Surgery, Inpatient Advanced Gastroenterology and more.
- Large in-house air ambulance program - fixed wing jet and helicopter averaging 2-4 missions a day – flight team is based in ED
- 10 main ORs + Cysto Suite, 2 Davinci XI Robots, 2 Cath Labs + Hybrid OR and a separate 3 room ASC
- 21 bed mixed ICU staffed 24/7 with critical care intensivists
- 33 bed beautiful Emergency Department with recent $12m complete remodel, staffed 24/7 with 2 emergency medicine physicians + APP
- 9 bed RME Unit, 11 bed Critical Care Unit, 13 bed Clinical Decision Unit
- Well run, high functioning department with 30-35% admission rate
- Innovative technology throughout emergency department including:
- IV pumps programed by chars
- Bedside ultrasound in all trauma bays
- CT, x-ray and ultrasound live in ED footprint
- 2 way radio real time communication
- Tele-stroke, tele-neuro services
- Dedicated ED communication center for all transports/external transfers
