Elementary Curriculum

Joliet Public Schools is seeking applications for Elementary Teacher for the  school year.  The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for delivering classroom curriculum. Joliet Schools anticipates adding a 2nd kindergarten class and there may be other grade level opportunities. Candidates interested in all elementary grade levels are encouraged to apply.  The specific assignment depends on the selected candidate’s fit for the district.

Joliet Public Schools will give preference to certified teacher applicants. Individuals with a bachelor degree in another field are also encouraged to apply. Joliet Public Schools is willing to work with individuals looking to pursue a new career in education.

Joliet Public Schools is contained within a single K-12 building and serves a rural, ranching, and agricultural community.  There are just under 400 students enrolled in our K1-12 program.  Our core purpose is to educate each child to be successful.  We do this through engagement and collaboration with our families, staff, and community.  We are driven by our core values of pride, integrity, work ethic, empathy, and belonging.  

Joliet is located 30 minutes south of Billings and 30 minutes north of Red Lodge which allows easy access to both commercial and world class outdoor recreation opportunities.

For prospective employees with young children, Joliet Public Schools offers on-site, cost-effective staff child care.  Employees with children 0 to 3 years of age may enroll their child(ren) into the program. The current rate for enrollment is $25/day.  Additionally, staff members may enroll their 4 year old child(ren) into the District’s Kinder 1 Early Literacy/Numeracy program. Kinder 1 runs from 8am to 2:30pm.  

4 year old students may then enroll in the daycare from 2:30 to 4pm for $5 per day.  Finally, staff members living outside of Joliet Public Schools boundaries are entitled to automatic enrollment within Joliet Public Schools.

Starting teacher pay for the  school year will be $42,863. Experienced teachers are allowed to bring up to 7 years of teaching experience into the district.  The highest possible salary for an incoming teacher with 7 years or more of experience will be $48,982.
