Elementary Curriculum

Location: Baker

Baker Public Schools has an opening for a full-time Elementary teacher for the  school year.  Applicant must have a valid Montana Educator License with the appropriate endorsement and/or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification. Newly hired teachers may qualify for loan forgiveness through the Montana Quality Educator Loan Assistance program (each of our schools are listed as “impacted schools.”)

Starting salary will be a minimum of $42,564 (currently in negotiations) to max of $85,190 DOE (District will accept ALL years of teaching experience for salary placement), plus full single medical coverage and free access to the Health & Fitness Center. Extracurricular positions may be available. District housing may be available. Baker Public Schools currently operates on a four-day school week averaging 156 school days and teachers are contracted for 163 working days.

Our K-12 student population is over 450 students and our high school competes in the Southern B Division. Our schools have a manageable teacher-to-student ratio. Each classroom is equipped with the latest in technology and we have Chromebooks available to all of our students and Microsoft Surface Pros for our staff.

The City of Baker is located in the southeast corner of Montana and is the county seat for Fallon County. Baker is home to over 1,800 residents and has several restaurants, local businesses, a golf course, and Baker Lake.
