School Counseling

Location: Sheridan

Sheridan School District is seeking a dynamic and energetic K-12 School Counselor to join our team beginning in the fall of 2026.  This position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, working with our Kindergarten through 12th grade students.  The successful candidate will work closely with the elementary and high school administration to best meet the changing needs of our students and staff.  

They will need to be a cooperative team member of the school and community as we work together to promote Sheridan Schools and its vision of “educating the whole person, empowering them to reach their highest individual potential.”  The successful candidate will be part of our team promoting social-emotional health and positive behavior throughout our schools.  They will need to support Special Education students as IEP and 504 plans are developed cooperatively to meet the student’s individual needs.  

The successful candidate may also perform other duties assigned by the building administration.

Sheridan Schools operate on a 4-day school week.  Sheridan is located in the lovely Ruby Valley.  It has a wide variety of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping.  Our students have many extracurricular opportunities including volleyball, football, basketball, track, and forensics.  We also have strong FCCLA and FFA Chapters.

Qualifications:

Applicant must possess Montana OPI licensure in K-12 Counseling or the ability to obtain.
