an enthusiastic Geography Teacher available for a long-term role starting in May 2026?

GSL Education are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a secondary setting in Hackney through to the end of the academic year in July 2026
.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who can deliver engaging Geography lessons, support strong academic progress, and maintain high classroom standards across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, preparing students for GCSE examinations
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback
• Use data to inform planning and implement targeted interventions
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of SEND, EAL and high-attaining students
• Maintain strong classroom management and high expectations for behaviour
• Contribute to departmental planning and resource development
• Support revision sessions and exam preparation activities
• Participate in parents’ evenings and relevant whole-school events
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are consistently upheld

Geography Teacher
Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Degree in Geography or a related subject
• Experience in working as a Geography Teacher across UK secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of GCSE requirements
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
